HOW WE DO IT
Editing is king. I first got into this line of work as a video editor, and as such I'm always thinking of how the video will be edited, especially while I'm filming. Two video cameras will be rolling at all times. This allows me to essentially be in two places at once. Additionally, a second photographer will be equipped with a still camera focusing solely on taking still photos. This way, you get great photos and great video of your event.
During most weddings there are moments that are ideal for filming as well as moments that are better suited to still pictures. For instance, in most weddings, after the ceremony I will put down the video camera and pick up the still camera to take all the family photos and such. Later on, when the dance floor is the happening place, I will grab the video camera and capture the energy of the dancing. It's all about taking the best of photography and videography and then melding them into one exciting product. |
