FOCUS: This project is the result of a generalized overview of the 3D pipeline. After working on other non-3D projects
I decided to put together this simple animation just to keep my chops up.
LESSONS LEARNED: The hardest aspect of this project was making the movement of the hockey stick convincing
without a character to control it. There is no single pivot point about which a hockey stick rotates, making it difficult to control the stick.
I found that, although it's a very simple object, using a complex hierarchy was the only way to control it convincingly. |
